In the midst of grief, a neighborhood initiative has emerged to rename the street where the fire occurred as «Firefighters of Alcorcón Street», in honor of Sergio and Jesús.
Signatures are already being collected, and the proposal has broad support. Meanwhile, the police have removed the fencing from the area, allowing traffic again, although access to the garage remains restricted.
