The Alcorcón City Council has launched, through the Municipal Institute of Employment and Economic Promotion (IMEPE), Alcorcón learns, an online training school with about 450 courses to boost the professional careers of the residents of the municipality.
«It is a training school for those who are in the active job search process, also to improve at work, start a professional activity, or simply for those who want to learn for learning’s sake,» explained the president of IMEPE and Councilor of Employment and Training, Carlos Carretero.

Carretero has emphasized that «useful and quality training is the foundation to improve the employability of our residents and boost their professional careers,» so Alcorcón learns takes on that commitment «from the public sphere to make Alcorcón a place to live and work.»
«Alcorcón has been reducing the number of people unemployed for several years, something we are extremely proud of. Now, our goal as a city is to provide the necessary tools for them to confidently access better job opportunities,» added the Councilor of Employment and Training.

In Alcorcón learns, those with limited time can choose their training schedules because it is open 24/7 (24 hours every day of the week) and because they can choose what to include in their training project with courses ranging from 5 to 110 hours in duration.
Individuals seeking tailored content can choose from about 450 courses, which they can enroll in from the age of 16 and live or work in Alcorcón, all for free, as it is an initiative promoted by IMEPE.

The courses are divided into the following areas: Administration and Offices; Quality; Commerce; Design; Languages; Computing; Legislation; Environment; Trades; Office Automation; Prevention; and Human Resources.
Among them, specific courses stand out such as Accounting Analysis, Legal Aspects in Digital Environments, Coaching and Leadership, ISO Quality Management, Quality and Proximity Services in small businesses, Market Analysis, Store Decoration and Shop Windows, among others.
