Modificación de las fiestas de Santo Domingo en Alcorcón por luto oficial
Due to the three days of mourning decreed by the Government of Spain following the death of Pope Francis, the Alcorcón City Council has modified the program of the Santo Domingo and San Dominguín festivals to align with the official mourning days.
The proclamation, delivered by the well-known local resident who is also an entrepreneur, announcer, presenter, composer, producer, and DJ Vicente One More Time, will take place on Friday at 7 pm. It was originally scheduled for this Wednesday at 8 pm.
Following the proclamation, the Brotherhood of Santo Domingo and Santo Dominguín will carry out the traditional distribution of lemonade and cascajo, originally planned for Thursday.
Alcorcón celebrates the Santo Domingo festivals with music and games
On Saturday, the Main Mass at the Santa María la Blanca Church will be followed by the procession at 12 pm, accompanied by the group of Popular Dances and Customs of Alcorcón and the Municipal Band of the Manuel de Falla Municipal School.
The festivals will conclude on Sunday, April 27. In the morning, at 11 am, the raffle organized by the Brotherhood of Santo Domingo and enlivened by the Santa Cecilia Musical Group will take place. At 2 pm, the popular stew will be served, and finally, at 6 pm, the Dance Factory School will perform.
