The Alcorcón City Council has named firefighters Sergio Benavente, aged 38, and Jesús Aguilar, aged 34, as honorary citizens of the city, who tragically lost their lives on April 2nd while extinguishing a fire in a garage in the Las Retamas neighborhood.
Following a joint declaration approved unanimously by the municipal groups, the City Council wanted to recognize these two firefighters who «unfortunately lost their lives in the line of duty» while trying to put out the fire in a garage on Lilos Street.
